Managing Tasks

This section will look at what task management is, the importance of doing this in your daily life, and helpful advice for doing this in your life. 

To finish any task, try these simple steps that should work with most tasks:  

  • Know what the task is  
  • Break it into small actions  
  • Do one action at a time  
  • Check it off when done  
  • Ask for help if stuck  

Try to focus on one task at a time, not everything at once, and keep tasks simple and short. 

To get going with a task, it can be helpful to set a timer for 5-15 minutes and work until it rings.  

When you finish a step, take a small break before getting back to it! And always celebrate finishing a task or achieving a goal, no matter how small. 

This will make you more likely to continue this practice and keep working on your goals and tasks.
